Cancer Rehabilitation Session

Exercise is known to help reduce many symptoms of cancer treatment and aid in building strength during and after treatment.

We are able to help anyone living with cancer at any stage of illness or treatment.

Weight management:

Join us on Monday for our Weight Management session.

No need to book. Just turn up and give it a go

Anti – Falls

Our Get Up & Go classes are a great way to engage with other people while being active.

These groups are led by our fully qualified instructor who implements exercises to increase strength and improve balance which can help to reduce the risk of falls.

Drop in / 1-2-1 session

These sessions are for anyone to drop and train if they missed their own rehabilitation day or just fancy training.
These are private sessions for those who need that little bit more help with their rehabilitation and can pay for it.

General rehabilitation 

this session is a mixture session with all different types of doctor referrals

OTAGO - plus 

This class uses elements of OTAGO Programme and gym equipment to help with your rehabilation

Neuro - Rehabilitation sessions

A seat-based exercise class, designed to help improve strength and balance, especially aiding the muscles used in everyday activity. The exercises are performed from the comfort of a chair and each exercise is performed at a pace that suits you.

Get up and Go 

These Get Up and Go sessions are activity classes for the elderly that will support the development of core strength and balance at a pace that’s right for you.

Neuro - Out reach 

A seat-based exercise class, designed to help improve strength and balance, especially aiding the muscles used in everyday activity. The exercises are performed from the comfort of a chair and each exercise is performed at a pace that suits you.

Early Drop in - Yestobeingfit

These sessions are for anyone to drop and train if they missed their own rehabilitation day or just fancy training.

After Work - Yestobeingfit 

it is a general gym session for those with and without any long term issues that want to do a gym session without the fuss of a big gym. These sessions are fast past and at a harder pace

Weight management  - Fat 2 Fit 

The FWB Weight Management Programme supports adults living with obesity who also have a diagnosis of diabetes, hypertension or both, to manage their weight and improve their health.

It is a 12-week online behavioural and lifestyle programme that people can access through wellness gym

Village Yoga 

Yoga brings the body and mind together and is built on three main elements – movement, breathing and meditation. Yoga has many physical and mental health benefits including improved posture, flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness.

Yoga Align,

consisting of longer holding poses, focusing on stability and alignment to improve your yoga practise. 

You’ll need a Yoga mat, strap and cushions to support your practice.

Yoga Power 

Mindful meditation is a mental training practice that teaches you to slow down racing thoughts, let go of negativity, and calm both your mind and body. Mindfulness techniques can vary, but in general involves quiet breathing practice and awareness of body and mind.

Yoga Nidra 

Yoga nidra or yogic sleep in modern usage is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, typically induced by a guided meditation. A state called yoga nidra is mentioned in the Upanishads and the Mahabharata, but it offers no precedent for the modern technique.

L1FT ,SH1FT AND M1ND

Each week we will be doing one of these different Classes a week. 
L1ft -L1FT workouts involve high repetitions of relatively low weights (bar and weight plates or dumbbells), which reduces the chance of injury but still allows you to access the many benefits of resistance training: Build lean muscle mass. Increased muscle mass = increased fat burning power.
Sh1ft -SH1FT– Smart high intensity functional training for all levels. L1FT – Strength and conditioning to build a strong and healthy body. R1ZE – High Intensity functional training using the Step. M1ND – Functional stretching, mobility and stability training for non-yogis.
M1nd -M1ND workouts are specifically designed around the “3 TYs” – flexibility, mobility and stability. Each workout draws inspiration from a mix of sports, yoga, .

we have a range of monthly memberships for the Wellness Gym, Plus hours of on demand content, you'll be spoilt for choice.

 

Please note, people who are new to the Wellness Gym will need to have an informal assessment before your first class with one of our qualified trainers.

 

This can take place on the phone or in person, and requires minimum physical activity.
